Shoreline Excellence Award Earned By Lyme-Old Lyme Student
A Lyme-Old Lyme High School student was recently awarded the Shoreline Excellence Award in Social Studies.
OLD LYME, CT - Thirteen schools convened Monday at Valley Regional High School to celebrate and honor the Shoreline Social Studies Award recipients. Connecticut's Lieutenant Governor, Nancy Wyman, presented the awards.
Lyme-Old Lyme High School is proud to present the Shoreline Excellence in Social Studies Award to Hannah Wisner. She has achieved outstanding excellence in social studies for the past three years. (To sign up for the Lymes breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Wisner is a member of the National Honor Society, participates on the Debate Team and Geography Bee and holds an officer position on the Community Service Club. Mrs. Hylas and Mr. D’Aquila, Social Studies Teachers at Lyme-Old Lyme High School, agree that what sets Wisner apart is her willingness to share her knowledge and her commitment to lift up all learners in the classroom.

Each school in the Shoreline Conference selects one junior they feel best fits the criteria for outstanding commitment and achievement in social studies. The award is presented by the Shoreline Social Studies Association.
