Where East Lyme Road Resurfacing Will Take Place in May

Weather permitting, the preparation work will take place the week of May 11th .

The Public Works Department will be starting the seasonal road resurfacing project and would like to make you aware of preparation work and paving that is being scheduled.

The preparation work will include reclaiming the existing pavement, which consists of grinding the existing paved surface followed by grading and rolling the reclaimed material.

Weather permitting, the preparation work will take place the week of May 11th and the new pavement layers will be placed starting the week of May 18th. Residents will not be able to park on the street while this work is being done.

These processes will create a one-lane roadway with alternating traffic. Traffic control will be provided by the Town during both processes. Please plan accordingly for delays.

There will be a field representative who will oversee the work and provide technical assistance to the paving contractor when necessary. If you have any questions or concerns during the project you may contact the Public Works Department at 860-691-4118.

Hope Street (38 Hope to East Pattagansett)
Lake Ave (Main St to Hope St)

Mosle Lane (Old Black Point)
Hemingway Ave (Old Black Point)

Rathbun Road (off Route 156)
Transfer Station Access Drive (91 Roxbury Road)
Romagna Road (off Roxbury Road near Route 161)
