
Millicent “Millie” (Dunn) Ulrich, 84, of Tolland, beloved wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Ulrich, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 23, 2011 with her loving family at her side. Born in Hartford, she grew up in East Harford and has lived in Tolland for most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Millie worked in the Tolland High School cafeteria for many years and she was previously employed at the former U. S. Envelope in Rockville. She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church in Tolland. Millie loved to garden and was an active member of the Tolland Senior Citizens where she also sang in the choir for several years. She was very adventurous, especially after retirement, going helmet diving and taking a hot air balloon ride. Millie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved children, George Ulrich and his wife Gloria of Tolland, Therese Kasperan and her husband George of Tolland, Thomas Ulrich and his wife Kathleen of Riverview, FL and Timothy Ulrich of Tolland; 7 grandchildren, Mark Kasperan and his wife Jennifer, Lisa Boya and her husband Patrick, Dawn Kubica and her husband Robert, Ryan and Adam Ulrich, Michael Creedon and his wife Missy and James Creedon and his wife Eliza; 9 great grandchildren, Alyssa and Patrick Boya, Madison Dion, Kasie Kasperan, Breanna Ulrich, Elvis, Kira, Emmett and Lianna Creedon; a sister, Dorothy Ulrich of Tolland; many nieces and nephews, and her best friend and companion, her dog Peanut. In addition to her husband, Millie was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Matthew Church, 111Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in Rockville. Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
