About Window Box Farm
Window Box Farm is a female owned and operated organic herb, vegetable and cut flower micro-farm located in Tolland, Connecticut. Head Hen, Lena Voghel, started Window Box Farm in 2019 after realizing her passion for agriculture while living and working in Boston as a graphic designer. Pictured above is a photo of Lena working in her community garden located in her previous urban neighborhood, the only green space for miles. Growing in this garden unearthed a passion and appreciation for being a part of her community and living a holistic lifestyle. Window Box Farm is located on the land Lena grew up with. She is currently farming an 1/8 of an acre that has not been touched in 300 years. The location is a historic site, one of the previous owner was Ulysses S. Grant’s great, great grandfather. At Window Box Farm we focus on design and quality. Our goal is to provide our community with beauty, great tasting products and whole organic foods.
