Fun-Cation Week Seven Starts Today - A Camping We Will Go!

Tolland and Ellington Preschool of the Arts locations are offering Fun-Cation programs. These programs are for kids ages 3 - 10 and will feature eight weeks of learning through a wide spectrum of hands-on experiences. Full- and Part-time programs are available.

The schedule of activities per week is as follows:

• Week 1 - June 27-July 1 - Eye Spy Summer Fun - Eye-Spy a sandcastle, sprinkler and slime! Come join your friends for a splendiferous good time!
• Week 2 - July 5-8 - Happy Birthday America - O, Say Can You See the wonder of our mighty country? - Come learn about things that make our nation special. Field Trip: Thursday, July 7, Northwest Park
• Week 3 - July 11-15 - Nature’s Art - Come explore ways to create art using natural items. There will be several nature walks to collect items from the world around us
• Week 4 - July 18-22 - Creepy Crawly Critters - This week we will explore all sorts of insects, reptiles and amphibians through literature, the arts and othermodes. Field Trip: Day TBA, Springfield Museum, Springfield, MA
• Week 5 - July 25-29 - Fishology - A Young Person’s Guide to Underwater Life
• Week 6 - August 1-5 - Under the Big Top - Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls - I direct your attention to clowning around, acrobats, wild animals and other circus adventures. Field Trip: Monday August 1, Kid City, Middletown
• Week 7 - August 8-12 - A Camping We Will Go - Kids, come to pitch a tent, sing campfire songs, read a compass and learn other survival skills in the woods
• Week 8 - August 15-19 - Going Out With a Bang! - End the summer with fun activities like making mud pies (please don’t eat them), lemonade and ice cream. Possible Field Trip: A day at the movies (PG rating)
