VERNON, CT — State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Interstate-84 eastbound near Exit 66. The crash took place at 1:34 a.m., when a 2014 Nissan Sentra was traveling in the right-hand lane, according to a report. The driver saw another vehicle speeding toward him and moved into the center lane in an evasive maneuver. The other car hit his car anyway and continued on, a report indicates. The driver was unable to get a description of the vehicle. Any witnesses can call Troop C at 860-896-3200.
SOMERS, CT — Daniel Rondxeau, 29, of Somers, was charged with driving under the influence and three motor vehicle violations for an incident at 1:50 a.m. on Main Street, according to a report, He was stopped for having a headlight out and troopers discovered he had a Florida plate on his Volkswagen that did not belong on the vehicle, according to a report. he then failed sobriety tests, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — Luke Pickering, 38, of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation, according to a warrant. A warrant had been issued for a July incident on East Street that involved a vehicle hitting a tree, state police said.

VERNON, CT — Amanda Howe, 27, of Manchester, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault after an altercation at the Tolland County civil courthouse, according to a report. State police called it a current girlfriend fighting with a former girlfriend.

STAFFORD, CT — Matthew Tucker, 43, of Vernon, was charged with disorderly conduct after a disturbance on Leonard Road in Stafford, according to a report. The altercation took place at 3:09 p.m., records show.

TOLLAND, CT — Bart Frederich, 44, of East Windsor, was charged with reckless driving, drunken driving and a lane violation at 1:09 a.m., according to a report. He was alternating between the travel lanes and breakdown lanes at a high rate of speed and was pulled over. He then failed a series of field sobriety tests, according to a report.
Oct. 12
STAFFORD, CT — Timothy Daggett, 37, of Stafford, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and violating a restraining order, state police said. At 1 p.m., the day before, troopers went to a residence on Crown Street to investigate a disturbance. A warrant was then applied for the arrest of Daggett, according to a report.
WILLINGTON, CT — Charles Donnelley, 83, of Willington, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a warrant, state police said. He was being investigated for an Oct. 4 incident on Ruby Road, according to state police.
VERNON, CT — Thomas Dwyer, 56, of Earlton, NY, was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation at 8 a.m., according to a report. He was involved in a crash with injuries on May 7 near Exit 65 westbound on Interstate-84, according to a report.
MANSFIELD, CT — Nicholas DiMartino, 22, of Fairfield, was slapped with an interfering charge at 11:30 p.m., according to a report. State police went to a large, loud party in Hillyndale Road and DiMartino not only refused to leave, but allegedly hindered troopers' attempts to clear the dwelling, according to a report.

STAFFORD, CT — Randall Layne, 28, of Enfield, was charged with interfering, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening, according to a report. His charges were filed after a disturbance at the Sun Valley Campground, according to a report.
Oct. 14
ELLINGTON, CT — John Pierson, 55, of Vernon, was charged with drunken driving, speeding and drinking while driving at 1:10 p.m., according to a report. He was pulled over by a speed enforcement detail after being clocked at 57 mph in a 40 mph zone on Pinney Street, a report says. Troopers observed him consuming alcohol while in his vehicle, according to a report.
