New School Board Member Appointed in Tolland

Cliff Vachon has been appointed to the Tolland Board of Education.

The appointment last week came after the resignation of Tom Frattaroli, who cited personal reasons as his basis for stepping down.

“Tom came to the realization that he just couldn’t fit this into his life anymore,” Chairman Sam Adlerstein told the Journal Inquirer. “We thank Tom for his years of dedicated service. We’ll miss Tom.”

Vachon is a Democratic candidate for school board in the upcoming municipal election. He will finish out the remaining two months of Frattaroli’s term as he seeks election in November.
