Sectional Tournament Wrap-up for Tolland 12-Year-Old All-Stars
The team plays its final game on Monday to complete its run in the tournament.

The Tolland 12-year-old All-Stars will be finishing their tournament run and playing their final game Monday night against Jewett City in the Connecticut State Sectional Tournament. The team has lost three games and won once in the past week, according to manager Scott Curtis.
On Wednesday, the team played against Glastonbury, losing 13-1. Jacob Simon and Matt Curtis provided the team’s sole run.
On Thursday, Tolland lost to Avon, 5-0. Although the team did not score any runs, Dan Steiner, Matt Holyst and Cody Ouellette all provided hits. Steiner, Eric Gottier and Sean Kelly pitched well for the game.

The team had its sole win on Saturday against Waterford, 10-7. The team had a fantastic fourth inning, starting with a grand slam from Ouellette. Steiner and Devin Aldrich continued the hitting streak with two home runs. Deondrew Regisford hit a single home run. Matt Curtis and Sean Kelly kept Waterford scoreless for more than three innings.
On Sunday, the team lost to Madison 12-8 in a close game. The team consistently came back to try and recapture the lead. Holyst tied the game early on, 2-2. Curtis hit a two-run home run to tie the game again at 4-4. The team pulled ahead briefly with a single from Simon, but fell behind when Madison pulled ahead 12-5. The team tried to rally again with three more runs, but fell short.
