Tolland Football Takes Bloomfield, 35-28

The team played strong until the end of the competitive game.

Tolland High School football overcame Bloomfield High School, 35-28, in a competitive game on Saturday, according to head coach Andy Bourquin.

Tolland took the lead early on, leading 14-0 at the end of the first quarter, but had to fight for the win as Bloomfield pushed up the offense for the rest of the game, matching Tolland's 7 points a quarter, and scoring a potentially game-changing 14 points in the final quarter.

"Everyone on our team took accountability for their jobs and fought till the end," Bourquin said of the team's determination to stay ahead for the victory. "Every player contributed today."

"I am very proud of the team, and it is a big victory for THS football," Bourquin said.
