Tolland Junior League All-Stars Out of Sectional Tournament
The team lost to Killingly and Burlington in the Connecticut State Sectional Tournament.

The Tolland Junior League All-Stars were forced out of the Connecticut State Sectional Tournament this weekend after one win and two losses.
The team had a promising start. Tolland won against Burlington, 6-2, in its first of three weekend games. According to Team Manager Steve Paasch, Andrew Schadt closed down the Burlington line-up for almost two innings. Ben Clough also pitched five strong innings for the win.
Offensively, Tolland had a strong second inning, taking a decisive lead, 5-0. Burlington fought back with runs in the third and fifth innings, but it wasn’t enough to make a comeback. Clough earned the final run of the night in the sixth inning with an RBI groundout.

Kevin Salina had two hits, two RBIs and two runs for Tolland, followed by two hits from Brendan Byam.
Tolland’s luck turned on Saturday night, losing 2-1 to Killingly. The team’s hopes were finished with a final loss to Burlington, 12-1 on Sunday.
