Tolland Voters Endorse $59.7 Million 2022-23 Budget
The proposed budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year in Tolland was approved in a Tuesday referendum.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland residents and taxpayers Tuesday approved a $59.7 million budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year by a 181-vote margin.
The tally was:
- Yes - 885
- N0 - 704
The turnout was 15.28 percent, according to elections officials.

The budget adoption results in a tax rate of 36.58 mills. That's a decrease of .53 mills. The rate translates into residents paying $36.58 for every $1,000 in property assessments.
The motor vehicle tax rate will be capped at 32.46 mills, a decrease of 4.65 mills. Town officials said increases to the grand list, state funding and "non- tax revenues" have accounted for the drop.

- General Government — $13,017,396 (3.25 percent)
- Education — $41,737,723 (2.25 percent)
- Capital Improvements — $255,880 (85.49 percent)
- Debt Service — $4,700,000 (1.08 percent)
