Arrest Made In 8-Year-Old DVD Theft Case: Trumbull PD
A woman rented more than 30 DVDs from the library and had resold them, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — Officers made an arrest in a nearly 8-year-old theft of more than 30 of DVDs from the Trumbull library, according to police.
The case began back in March 2012 after a woman rented 31 DVDs from the library. The library got a call from the FYE store about the DVDS, which were sold for around $135, police said. The library had paid nearly $1,000 for the DVDs.
The DVDs were tracked back to Amanda Eaton, 34, of Shelton who had sold the DVDs to FYE in two batches herself and then had someone sell another batch on her behalf, police said. Normally library patrons can rent 15 DVDs at a time, but Eaton was a regular at the library and was allowed to rent more, police said.
