American Girl Camp Returns to the Historical Society!

American Girl Summer camp returns for two sessions this July at the Historical Society!

“An American Girls Historic Journey” Summer Camp – 2013Last summer, we launched our first American Girl doll themed summer camp.  Seventeen young ladies joined us to learn about and experience the lifestyles of four of their favorite dolls - Kaya (Native American); Felicity (Colonial era); Samantha (Edwardian era); and Kit (Depression era). Each day was devoted to one doll and time period – the fifth day was a surprise for guests of the campers! We had such an overwhelming response and rave reviews, that we will be offering two sessions this summer:  July 15-19 or July 22-26.  The cost is $150 per week per child (members $140) – 9AM-Noon. (Bring your doll – she comes for free!)If you are 7 years old or older and enjoy history, crafts, snacks, games, and much more … NOW is the time to register.  Classes will fill up quickly, so …CALL Alicia Preusch, museum coordinator at 203-377-6620 to  SAVE YOUR PLACE!
