CL&P Raisies Post-Storm Compensation to $25M

Hartford-based Northeast Utilities announced on Tuesday that it is raising its  for Connecticut Light & Power customers who lost electricity during  from $10 million to $25 million, according to TheDay.com.

The company originally stated that customers that were without power as late as Nov. 5 would receive at least a credit on their bill of at least $100, but now customers may receive as much as a $200 credit.

NU President Charles Shivery said in a statement that the decision came after learning that both the Malloy administration and CL&P customers felt that the $10 million offered was "insufficient."
