Democrats Criticize Herbst After Incident On Campaign Trail
A former Middletown mayor allegedly shoved a video "tracker" while Herbst was campaigning for local candidates in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Democrats are criticizing Tim Herbst after they say a video "tracker" was shoved by former Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano. Giuliano and Herbst were campaigning for local candidates in Middletown.
State Democratic Party spokesman Leigh Appleby accused Herbst of supporting Giuliano's actions when he thanked him for "having my back today," on Facebook, according to the Connecticut Post.
Herbst said he took the tracker as a positive sign that the state Democratic Party knows he will upend business-as-usual in Hartford.
