Driver Smashed Into Vehicles Using Stolen Car: Trumbull PD
The driver smashed into several cars in Bridgeport and was eventually stopped by officers in Trumbull, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Meriden man was arrested after he caused several crashes in a stolen car, according to police.
Daniel Baker, 37, fled police in Bridgeport May 10 around 2 p.m. and struck multiple vehicles, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.
He was eventually apprehended on Route 25 in Trumbull after officers forced his car to stop.

Trumbull Police were notified about the fleeing 2005 Honda Civic. A Trumbull officer spotted the heavily-damaged Civic on Main Street near Gisella Road. The Civic didn't stop and instead went on Route 25 southbound.
Baker drove off the roadway near exit 9 in an attempt to escape, but police blocked him in, Weir said.

Baker was charged with third-degree larceny, engaging police in a pursuit, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of license plates and misuse of plates. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Baker was remanded to the custody of the Department of Correction due to a parole violation, Weir said.
