DUI Arrest Made In Trumbull Church Parking Lot: PD

The arrest was made on Labor Day.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after he was found intoxicated in a running vehicle Labor Day, police said.

An officer was driving through the parking lot at Calvary Evangelical Free Church on White Plains Road when he noticed a vehicle shortly before 11 p.m.

He attempted to wake the operator by tapping on the window, but that didn't work. He opened the driver's door and was then able to wake the driver.

Daniel Chevalier, 43, of Bridgeport failed field sobriety tests and his BAC results were .233 and .237, police said.

He was charged with DUI and released on a $500 bond.
