Former Trumbull Man Charged in Connection With Beating Death of Monroe Woman

Thomas Fischer is charged with violation of a protective order in connection with the suspicious death of Jennifer Sredzinski of Monroe.

On Sept. 8, 2014 police arrested Thomas Fischer, 48, formerly of Trumbull, on charges of Violation of No Contact Protective Order. His bond was set $100,000. His court date is set for Sept. 9, 2014.

On Aug. 25, the Monroe Police Department received a 911 call for an unconscious female lying in the roadway on Windgate Circle, bleeding from her head. Thevictim was identified as Jennifer Sredzinski, 41, of Windgate Circle, Monroe. She died on Friday Aug. 29 as a result of her injuries.

On September 8, 2014, an arrest warrant was signed charging Thomas Fischer with Violation of a Protective Order. Fischer was located in Milford and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Monroe Police Department and processed at 2:00 p.m. The Protective Order stemmed from a 2014 domestic violence arrest in Virginia. The warrant was obtained based on information during the investigation of the untimely, suspicious death of Jennifer Sredzinski, 41. The Monroe Police Department investigation continues and all information is being looked at.
