Grandma Arrested After Benefiting from Fraud: Trumbull PD
Her grandson bilked a resident out of $62,000, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — The grandmother of a man charged with stealing $62,000 from a resident was arrested after she benefited from the scheme, according to police.
Billie Conley, 37, of Bridgeport went to the victim's home during June 2016 to repair a computer. He managed to gain access to the victim's bank information, police said
A total of 133 transactions were made over several days to the victim's checking accounts. The total loss was $62,753.28. Money was used to pay off credit card debt. Conley's grandmother Eva James, 78, of Bridgeport had her debts paid down too, police said.

James was charged with first-degree larceny, first-degree identity theft and criminal impersonation.
