Today, I am setting aside my author hat to tell you about a way to help a great cause while having fun in the sand at Short Beach on Thursday, August 15. Recently, my pal, Tom Gallo sent me a flyer about a fun event which benefits the Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield County. I hope you will put on your flip flops and attend this event from 5pm-8pm at Short Beach in Stratford, CT on 8/15. ( The event was scheduled for 8/1 but was postponed due to rain) I have also attached the flyer below, so you may click on it for details. For a donation of $ 15, you can enjoy food, relaxation, a fabulous DJ and games. I know you will consider entering the crazy flip flop contest! You do not have to rsvp in advance, but you can simply pay $ 15 on the night of the event. I know I will bring a friend or two and I hope you will do the same.
