Herbst: Now is Perfect Time to Build Community Center

Low bond rates, a growing grand list and Trumbull's high bond rating make for good conditions, Herbst said.

TRUMBULL, CT—Conditions are ripe to built a community center in Trumbull, according to First Selectman Tim Herbst.

Herbst cited low bond interest rates, Trumbull's high bond rating and the town increasing its grand list, according to the Trumbull Times.

All those factors mean that Trumbull can build a proposed community center without raising taxes, Herbst said.

The town will also need to consider replacing aging facilities like the Center at Priscilla Place and the Hillcrest swimming pool.
