I am honored that I have been invited to be a Guest Speaker at the Trumbull Chapter of the AARP on 11/11/13 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Trumbull at 12:30pm. During my speech I know that I will learn so much from the seniors that day as they share their wisdom with me. I know that speaking with them will enrich my life. Also, I hope that my speech inspires them and touches their heart as well. I am very proud of being an Italian-American author. Most of all, it is an amazing experience when the two worlds of two different generations connect. I am feeling honored and excited. The theme of my lecture will be based on the World War II accounts and immigrant stories from my book, "Slices of Life Italian-American Stories". My lecture will take place during their monthly meeting and it is for their members only. After the 11/11 speech at the AARP, my last speaking engagement for this year will be at Sacred Heart University's 50th anniversary celebration on 11/13 at 2pm in the Student Commons. The event will be sponsored by the Italian Club and the Alumni Relations Dept. See event section on Patch for details.
