The incident - which led to an arrest - occurred over the weekend.

TRUMBULL, CT — A suspected counterfeiter was arrested by Trumbull police Saturday at the Trumbull Mall after the man tried to elude officers by jumping off parking structures at the mall, according to authorities.
The suspect, Bronx, NY resident Namon Donnel Johnson, 25, was treated at a local hospital following the 7:15 p.m. incident after he complained of pain from the jumps.
"Johnson reportedly used a fake $100.00 bill to make a video game purchase at a store in the mall," wrote Trumbull police in a statement. "The store clerk called police and Johnson was located and detained by a Sergeant as he exited the mall.

"Johnson briefly spoke with the Sergeant and denied being the suspect but then took off running. As the Sergeant pursued him, Johnson jumped off the upper level of a parking garage, landing on the hood of a car below, damaging it. Johnson then resumed running and ran onto a raised parking lot where he again tried to leap off. This time, as he went over the wall, another officer was able to grab onto Johnson, and with help was
able to pull Johnson back up and over the wall taking him into custody."
Two police officers were slightly injured as they stopped Johnson from jumping the second time.
