Man Stabbed After Finding Stolen Car At Trumbull Mall: PD

The man confronted two teenagers in his car and was stabbed after a confrontation, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 22-year-old Bridgeport man was stabbed after he confronted two people in his stolen car, according to police.

The man was alerted that his stolen credit card which had been in his stolen vehicle was used at the mall Wednesday afternoon. He went to the Trumbull mall and confronted two teenage girls in his 2016 Ford Fusion, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.

A confrontation ensued and Alizen Elliston, 19, of Bridgeport, stabbed the victim, Weir said. The victim disarmed and restrained Elliston until police arrived. The juvenile fled the scene. Police have identified the juvenile and are attempting to locate her, Weir said. They determined she used the stolen credit card and drove the stolen vehicle.

Elliston was charged with Assault First Degree, Larceny Second Degree, Threatening
Second Degree, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Illegal Possession of a Weapon in a Motor
Vehicle, and Breach of Peace Second Degree.

The victim was transported to the hospital. The man's car had been stolen earlier in the day in Bridgeport.
