Mother Arrested For Child Car Seat Violation: Trumbull PD
The mother violated state law regarding child seat restraints, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A mother was arrested after she allowed her one-and-a-half year old child to sit in a passenger's lap during a car ride, according to police.
The car was pulled over near Unity Road and Route 108 Monday for a stop sign violation.
State law requires any child under the age of 2-years-old or weighs less than 30 pounds to be a in a rear-facing car seat. The laws change based on the child's age and weight in respect to the need for a car seat or safety belt use.

Aurelia Bejenaru, 30, of Shelton was charged with risk of injury to a minor. Bond was set at $500.
