New Director Of Public Works Appointed In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — First Selectman Vicki Tesoro announced that George Estrada will become the town's next director of public works. Director John Marsilio had previously announced his retirement.

Estrada has been the vice president of facilities planning and construction at the University of Bridgeport since 2007. He led a $100 million capital and infrastructure project to upgrade the campus. He was the director of public facilities for the City of Bridgeport prior to working at UB.

"I’m thrilled George has accepted my offer because I know we will be well served by his vast experience," Tesoro said. "I want to thank Mr. Marsilio for his years of service to Trumbull and on behalf of the town I wish him health and happiness in his retirement. ”

Estrada will start Jan. 21.
