• Ex-manager of Bridgeport's Success Village, HVAC owner plead guilty in embezzlement scheme (nhregister.com) — A Trumbull resident who formerly managed Bridgeport's Success Village housing cooperative has pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, tied to a multimillion-dollar embezzlement scheme. Prosecutors say he and a New Jersey HVAC co-owner funneled inflated or fake payments through vendors, diverting hundreds of thousands of dollars while the complex struggled with serious financial and infrastructure problems.
   

• Flood forum in Fairfield highlights need for stronger storm protections after regional deluge (news12.com) — A Trumbull resident joined neighbors and officials in Fairfield to demand stronger infrastructure after last week's damaging floods across the region. At Sherman Elementary School, State Sen. Tony Hwang and attendees pushed for upgraded drainage, shoreline protections, and restored natural buffers as Connecticut communities assess damage and search for long-term resilience strategies against increasingly intense storms.
