PD: Man Punched in Face Over Facebook Argument

A Bridgeport man was arrested after he allegedly punched a victim several times in the face at La Fitness in Trumbull.

Police responded on Nov. 27 to the gym. A victim and several witnesses said that Steven Bolden, 22, came into the gym and asked the victim if he had a problem, police said.

The victim said he didn’t and Bolden then began punching him in the face. He left the gym before police arrived.

Police eventually spoke with Bolden who said he and the victim had an argument on Facebook.

Bolden was charged with third-degree assault.

He was released on a promise to appear.

Protective Order Violation

A Monroe man was charged with violating a protective order after he called his ex-girlfriend, according to police.

The woman said that John Scianna, 53, called her and left a voicemail. The woman has a standing protective order that bars all forms of communication, police said.

Scianna admitted to police that he called, but said he didn’t know it was a violation of the protective order, according to police.

He was released on a $25,000 bond.
