PD: Man Refuses to Leave Trumbull Mall, Gets Arrested

TRUMBULL, CT- A Bridgeport man was arrested after he allegedly resisted being arrested after being asked to leave the Trumbull mall.

Rashone Strickland, 18, was asked to leave March 19 after he and other got into a verbal confrontation. He then returned to the mall and ignored requests to leave from security, police said.

A police officer told Strickland he couldn’t be in the mall but Strickland disagreed, which prompted police to arrest him.

During the arrest he resisted as one officer tried to restrain him. A second officer arrived on scene and was able to help restrain him after some effort.

Strickland was charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer.
