Trumbull Arts Festival 2026 Postponed: Town (patch.com) — Trumbull residents planning to attend the 2026 Trumbull Arts Festival will need to adjust their calendars, as the town has postponed Sunday's event to Oct. 11 on the Town Hall Green. Acting on guidance from the Emergency Management Team and a hazardous weather outlook tied to an approaching nor'easter, officials say the rescheduled festival will still spotlight local art and live entertainment.

Police: CT man charged with attempted murder after assaulting woman for days before she called 911 (courant.com) — Trumbull police say a Bridgeport man repeatedly assaulted a woman for about two days inside a Palomino Pass home before she managed to call 911, prompting a rapid response from officers and Trumbull EMS. The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, while the suspect was arrested on attempted murder and related domestic charges and held on a $2 million bond.
   

3. Local Event: Trumbull Church Resumes Series Of Wellness Wednesdays (patch.com) — Trumbull residents can unwind midweek at Trumbull Congregational Church's renewed Wellness Wednesdays series, running through December 16 at 3115 Reservoir Avenue. The evening programs feature meditation, gentle yoga, creative workshops, and even a holiday cookie swap, with modest fees, some advance registration options, and drop-in availability for anyone seeking a relaxing local escape.
   

4. 9/25/26 Nor'easter (trumbull-ct.gov) — Trumbull Library will be closed Saturday, September 26, as a nor'easter brings strong winds and possible coastal flooding to the area, with a decision on Sunday hours coming later. Town officials urge residents to secure outdoor items, charge devices, avoid driving through floodwater, and be prepared for power outages that could last more than 24 hours while emergency crews stand by.
   

5. Plans for Unilever's New Haven innovation center detail $34.7M in state infrastructure support (hartfordbusiness.com) — Unilever plans to move its longtime Trumbull research and development operation to a new $270 million innovation center in downtown New Haven, backed by $34.7 million in state infrastructure support. Local workers could eventually commute to a 253,000-square-foot life sciences hub near the medical district, with public hearings and city approvals already underway for a projected 2029 opening.
