Resident Shot Inside Home, Investigation Underway: Trumbull Police
Police said detectives are investigating the shooting.
TRUMBULL, CT — Police say they are investigating a shooting that occurred late Sunday on Moose Hill Road.
At 11 p.m., a resident of Moose Hill Road was shot and wounded when a firearm belonging to the homeowner was discharged, police said.
The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was later released, police said.

The residents who were involved are cooperating with the police investigation, police said. The preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that the incident was accidental, police said.
Trumbull Police Detectives are actively working on this investigation, and no charges have been filed as of this time, police said.
