Teen Arrested After Fleeing From Stolen Car At Trumbull Mall: Police
Police said the 17-year-old is accused of fleeing from a stolen car at the Trumbull Mall and trying to outrun a police officer.

TRUMBULL, CT — A teen accused of fleeing from a stolen car at the Trumbull Mall and trying to outrun a Trumbull police officer was arrested Thursday night, according to police.
In a news release posted to Facebook, police said a fast-acting officer chased down the teen after he parked a black Honda CRV, which had been reported stolen to New Haven police a day prior, at the mall around 6:30 p.m.
According to police, the teen tried to outrun the officer but was quickly captured after he discarded the vehicle's key in the mall parking lot.

The teen, a 17-year-old Hamden resident, was charged with possession of stolen motor vehicle, interfering with police and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
He was later released to his mother on a promise to appear in juvenile court on Friday, according to police.
