Even though I am from the younger generation, I was asked to be a Guest Speaker at the Trumbull Chapter of the AARP on 11/11/13 in Trumbull. During my speech I know that I will learn so much from the seniors that day as they share their wisdom with me. I know that speaking with them will enrich my life. I hope that my speech inspires them and touches their heart as well. I am very proud of being an Italian-American author. Most of all, it is an amazing experience when the two worlds of two different generations connect. I am feeling honored and excited. My speech will take place during their meeting and it is for AARP members only. My book, "Slices of Life Italian-American Stories" will be available for purchase that day for members along with complimentary book marks. My CT book signing trail has added value to my life as I have met so many intelligent and cultured people in CT. After the 11/11 speech at the AARP, my next speaking engagement will be at Sacred Heart University's 50th anniversary celebration on 11/13 at 2pm. The event will be sponsored by the Italian Club and the Alumni Relations Dept. See event section on Patch for details.
