Trumbull Artist Featured in New Exhibit at The Watermark

Monica Manfroi's exhibit, "A Palette of Emotions" will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:30 p.m. at The Watermark at 3030 Park

The Watermark at 3030 Park is excited to announce that they will be featuring the artwork of Trumbull artist, Monica Manfroi, at the senior living community starting on November 18.

The opening reception for her exhibit entitled, “A Palette of Emotions” will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:30 p.m. at The Watermark, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line. Manfroi will discuss her work during the reception, which will include light refreshments and entertainment by singer/guitarist Warren Bloom.

Manfroi’s work mainly consists of acrylic paintings done on canvas. Originally from Brazil, she credits much of her inspiration to the natural beauty found in the trees, flowers and animals that surrounded her while growing up.

“We are thrilled to welcome Monica to our gallery at The Watermark at 3030 Park and hope that our residents and guests will take this opportunity to view her beautiful works of art,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark. “Not only does Monica have a wonderful exhibit, but an interesting background on how she became an artist – one that we think people will find fascinating.”

The daughter of two artists, Monica made the decision to become an artist at a young age, while helping her father create a mosaic at their home in Brazil. Now living in Trumbull, she eventually moved to the United States in the early 1990’s and began pursuing painting more extensively. In addition to The Watermark, her work has been displayed in galleries in Stamford and New York City, as well as in private collections in the United States, Brazil and Germany.
