Trumbull Council District Lawsuit Dismissed
A local group in town sought a referendum on the number of town council districts.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Superior Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed with the intent of having a referendum over the number of Town Council districts.
Judge Barbara Bellis reaffirmed a legal opinion made by town attorneys that state law doesn't allow for redistricting by local initiatives, according to the Trumbull Times.
Town Council Chairman Carl Massaro declined to place a referendum request on the Town Council's agenda after getting the legal opinion.
