Trumbull Election Results 2021: Winning Candidates' Vote Totals

Incumbent First Selectman Vicki Tesoro, a Democrat, was re-elected.

TRUMBULL, CT — Democratic incumbent Vicki Tesoro was re-elected Tuesday with 5,977 votes, compared to 4,420 votes for Republican challenger Mark Block, according to unofficial results from the Secretary of State's office. Winning candidates are in bold.

For the position of Town Clerk, Democrat Mary Markham, the incumbent, defeated Republican Katie Miller-Creagh, 5,720 to 4,586.

As for Treasurer, incumbent Democrat Anthony Musto (5,547 votes) defeated Republican Paul S. Lavoie (4,737 votes).

On the Board of Finance, the winning candidates were:

Democrats - Marty Issac (5,176 votes); Lainie McHugh (5,303 votes); and Joseph Gaudiano (5,050 votes)
Republicans - Steve Dincher; Scott Zimov; and Justin Scheuble

The Board of Education had two different seats up for election, four-year and two-year terms. For the four-year terms, the winning candidates were:

Democrats - Scot Kerr; Kathy Champion; Tim Gallo (2,728 votes); and Lisa Nuland (2,728 votes)
Republicans - Marie Petitti (2,832 votes); Alison Souiccimarro; Jackie Norcel (3,080 votes); and Chris Bandecchi

As for the two-year terms, the winning candidates were:

Democrats - Lucinda Timpanelli (2,812 votes); Julia McNamee (2,758 votes); David Scrofani; and Christine El Eris
Republicans - Norcel; Petitti; Souiccimarro (2,515 votes); and Bandecchi (2,469 votes)

(Note: Norcel and Petitti also received the highest vote totals for the two-year terms, but a party can have four members)

For the Board of Assessment Appeals, Republican Jeff Craw ran unopposed.


The Trumbull Town Council recently returned to seven districts, up from four. The candidates' vote totals are as follows:

District 1
Democrats - Mary Issac (787 votes); Mike Miller (773 votes)
Republicans - Dede Robinson (797 votes); Mike Buswell (865 votes)

District 2
Democrats - Bill Mecca (951 votes); Nikki Satin (865 votes)
Republicans - Donna Seidell (859 votes); JP Favretto (766 votes)

District 3
Democrats - Alissa Hall (876 votes); Jason Marsh (892 votes)
Republicans - Lori Rosasco-Schwartz (845 votes); Steve Choi (901 votes)

District 4
Democrats - Patricia Borghesan (773 votes); Ashley Gaudiano (800 votes)
Republicans - Lissette Colon (852 votes); Olga Leiva (777 votes)

District 5
Democrats - Joy Colon (748 votes); Kelly Mallozzi (816 votes)
Republicans - Steve Lemoine (746 votes); Millo N. Bertini (641 votes)

District 6
Democrats - Dawn Cantafio (738 votes); Joanne Glasser Orenstein (680 votes)
Republicans - Carl Massaro (845 votes); Christopher DeCruze (784 votes)

District 7

Democrats - Kevin Shively (527 votes); Thomas Whitmoyer (519 votes)
Republican - Tony Scinto (523 votes)
