Trumbull Legislators: Malloy Budget Would Result in Huge Tax Increase
The proposal would cost Trumbull $5.6 million.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull legislators weren't pleased with Gov. Dannel Malloy's budget proposal that would take away state educational aid for Trumbull and add the burden of teacher pension fund payments.
The proposal would result in Trumbull taking a $5.6 million hit, something that would likely mean higher local taxes.
Meanwhile, Hartford would gain more than $47 million in state aid and be the beneficiary of a $250 million renovation to the XL Center.
