Trumbull Man Arrested After Fleeing Officers: PD
One man got away while the other was captured by police.
TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull man was arrested after he fled the mall after a shoplifting and hid behind a house, police said.
Police were called to the mall Nov. 10 on a report of two men stealing DVDs. The two men ran when police arrived. One of the men got away and the other hid behind Walnut Avenue which is close to the mall, police said.
Officers found Anton Murphy-Cartiglia, 18, in possession of $414 worth of stolen DVDs. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and interfering with police.
