Trumbull Man Enters Plea In Stratford Sexual Assault Case: Report

The man, a letter carrier in Westport, was arrested on charges that he sexually assaulted a former co-worker at her home.

STRATFORD, CT — A Trumbull man is scheduled to be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at her Stratford home last November, according to the Connecticut Post.

Dennis Hwang, 31, a letter carrier who works out of the Westport post office, was arrested in November 2016 after police say he sexually assaulted a former co-worker at her home. Stratford Police responded to the home on Nov. 11 after the victim activated a panic alarm.

Arriving officers saw Hwang exiting the home and was detained, police said at the time.

The Connecticut Post previously reported that Hwang showed up at the victim’s house uninvited and brought a cup of hot chocolate and a bagel. Once inside the house, he was accused of pushing the woman into a corner and throwing her down onto a couch and sexually assaulting her, according to the Post.

Hwang faces up to 30 days in prison, the Post reports.
