Trumbull Native Chris Drury Named Rangers Assistant General Manager

Drury played 12 seasons in the NHL and was a member of the 1989 Trumbull Little League World Series team.

TRUMBULL, CT—Trumbull native Chris Drury was named the assistant general manager of the New York Rangers.

Drury is one of nine active assistant/associate general managers in the NHL who are 40-years-old or younger, according to a Rangers press release.

He will assist General Manager Jeff Gorton on player transactions, contract negotiations and overseeing and evaluating college players.

Drury had a 12-year NHL career with 892 games, 255 goals, 360 assists and 468 penalty minutes.

He received the Calder Trophy as the NHL Rookie of the Year in 1998-1999. He reached the playoffs in nine out of 12 seasons.

Drury was a member of the 1989 Trumbull Little League teamthat won the World Series.
