Trumbull Police Commissioner Ethics Hearing Date Set
Roger McGovern was the subject of a harassment complaint filed with police.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police commissioner Roger McGovern will go before the town Ethics Commission Jan. 14 at 9 a.m., according to the commission's agenda.
The item is the only one being taken up at the meeting.
McGovern was the subject of a harassment complaint after he confronted a man about damage to his vehicle near his home and at his place of work, according to police.

The man told McGovern he was going to call the police after he visited his home and place of work on different occasions in attempts to collect money. McGovern replied, “I am the police,” and left in the last incident, according to a police report.
Police had planned to issue an arrest warrant for McGovern, but the State Attorney office declined to bring up charges.
