Trumbull Town Council Passes Budget
The budget restored some money to the Board of Education, but they will still have to plug some budget holes.
TRUMBULL, CT — The Town Council approved its budget Thursday which will restore about $500,000 to the Board of Education budget through a mix of an addition from the General Fund and anticipated energy cost savings.
The total amount for the Board of Education is about $1.5 million less than First Selectman Vicki Tesoro proposed for the school system in March, according to the Trumbull Times. $224,000 is being moved from the General Fund to the Board of Education.
