The woman tried to use a fraudulent check to pay off a Lord and Taylor credit card, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT—A New Haven woman was charged with forgery and identity theft after she tried to pay off a Lord and Taylor credit card with a fraudulent check, according to police.
Loss prevention at the store was investigating several incidents prior to Dec. 5. They saw Lori Snell-Savage, 53, come into the store Dec. 5 and use a fraudulent check to make a $900 payment to her Lord and Taylor card, police said. She then used that card to buy $700 in gift cards.
She was subdued as she tried to flee the store when loss prevention approached her. Police arrived and found she had several fraudulent ID cards and credit cards on her person.
