1st Of 3 Vernon Single Burnable Drop-Off Days Certainly A Hit
A popular yearly feature at the Vernon Transfer Station kicked off Wednesday.

VERNON, CT — Vernon residents Wednesday certainly took advantage of the first of three single burnable item drop-off days at the local transfer station.
By noontime, the big green compactor's compartment was practically full with items. As part of a yearly offering by town officials, Vernon residents can drop off a single burnable item (wood and upholstered furniture, plastic/resin outdoor furniture, etc.) at the Transfer Station free of charge.
The next days are Saturday and Sunday.
