2020 Vernon Firefighters Toy Drive Begins

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Volunteer Firefighters Association is seeking contributions of new toys and monetary donations for its annual Toys for Tykes drive.

Each Christmas, the firefighters distribute toys to the community's less-fortunate children. Toys will be collected through Dec. 19. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at several locations:

• Casey's Cafe - 127 West Road, Ellington
• Evolution Hair Design - 110 Hale Road, Manchester
• Great Harvest Bread - 425 Talcottville Road, Vernon
• Opportunity Works - 45 West Main St., Vernon
• Rock City Tatoo - 20 East Main St., Vernon
• Rockville Public Library - 52 Union St., Vernon
• Rocky's Ace Hardware - 71-73 Windsor Ave., Vernon
• Route 83 Auto Center - 133 West Road., Ellington
• ShopRite - Tri-City Plaza, Vernon
• Spare Time - 350 Talcottville Road, Vernon
• Suburban Subaru - 14 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon
• Vernon Diner - 453 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon
• Vernon Police Dept. - 725 Hartford Turnpike
• ViVO Chiropractic - 27 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon
• West Main Barber Shop - 17 West Main St., Vernon

Distribution to families who have pre-registered with Vernon Social Services will be completed
on Dec. after 6:30 p.m. Financial donations can be sent to the Vernon Volunteer Firefighters Association, Inc., P.O. Box 951 Vernon, CT 06066.
