“The Celtic Birds”
Kasha and Bob Breau, a harp and flute duo, offer a unique blend of original and modern arrangements of folk, jazz, and popular tunes selected from over many years of playing music together. As Celtic Birds they feature songs and instrumental pieces centered on birds, animals, pets, and the natural world with Kasha playing celtic harp and Bob on flute and other instruments.
Kasha’s primary focus is as a traditional harpist and singer playing original music and folk songs from around the world on modern reconstructions of medieval and renaissance harps as well as the modern concert harp. She is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music and has taught harp, voice, piano, and organ in addition to her performances and workshops in harp playing technique throughout the United States. She fills her life with more music as organist and music director at the Congregational Church in Portland, Connecticut and she and her husband can be heard in various bands and musical groups when they perform for weddings, receptions, and contra dancing.
