Burglar Who Wore a Teal Coat Wanted for Vernon Break-In
A burglar wearing a teal coat broke into a Vernon home earlier this month.
VERNON, CT — Vernon Police have released surveillance images of a man they say broke into a Bamforth Road home.
The incident was on April 10 at 3:55 p.m., police said.
The home had been broken into and police conducted a search in the area that included a dog team, but the suspect was not located, according to a report.

The homeowner had a security system and provided Vernon police with pictures of the suspect. They were released on Monday.
The suspect is being described as a white male who appeared to be in his 50s. He was wearing a tan baseball style cap, a teal coat, blue jeans, white sneakers, and black gloves, police said.

The man took various pieces of jewelry from the home, police said.
Anyone who has any information on the incident or who can identify the suspect is being urged to contact the Vernon Police Department at 860-872-9126. Callers may remain anonymous, police said.
