Cornerstone Christmas Shop Open, Toys Needed For Annual Party
The holiday season has begun at the Cornerstone Foundation in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — The holiday season has begun at the Cornerstone Foundation and that means the Christmas shop is open and a plea issued for donations to the annual party.
The Christmas shop has opened about a month early for 2020. It is located on Prospect Street near the intersection with East Main Street.

- 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays
- Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cornerstone is also in need of gift donations for the annual Christmas party that serves 100 local families. The event is slated for Dec. 12.
Toys are needed for children ages 2 through 12, Cornerstone officials said.

The Knights of Columbus have donated 100 jackets and donations of hats and gloves and
stuffed animals are plentiful.
Toys can be dropped off weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Soup Kitchen entrance, officials said.
