VERNON – The Vernon Legislative Delegation is sponsoring a community food drive to benefit the Cornerstone Foundation in memory of the organization's late deputy director and shelter director, Bryan Flint.

The contingent called it, "a bipartisan mission to help." State Reps. Tammy Nuccio, Jaime Foster and Kevin Brown are joining state Sen. Jeff Gordon to take in donations this month.

Flint was killed in a car crash last May at 64 after a life of helping the local homeless population. Vernon-based Cornerstone assists those in need through its shelters, food pantry and associated services.
