Hot Forecast Prompting Extended Hours At Vernon's Community Pool
The Community Pool in Vernon will be offering evening hours this week.
VERNON, CT — With hot temperatures in the forecast for this week, Vernon's Community Pool at 375 Hartford Turnpike will be open an additional two hours each day.
Vernon officials made the announcement Monday evening.
Forecasts call for 90-degree temperatures through Sunday, and the Community Pool will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 through Sunday, July 24.

Regular pool hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pool will be closed between 5 and 6 p.m. to give the pool staff a break.
Daily admission fees will apply.
